Jowar Flakes Soup/Porridge

Jowar Flakes Soup/Porridge

1 cup jowar/bajra/ragi flakes ( I used jowar flakes ordered from Shopforchange)
½ cup finely chopped carrot
½ cup peas
½ cup chopped spinach
½ cup chopped shallot (sambhar onion)
1 inch ginger finely chopped
2-3 green chilly
Few sprigs of curry leaves
Pepper powder
Salt
Cold press coconut oil
Mustard seeds
In a pan add a tsp of coconut oil. Mustard seeds
Then add the shallots , ginger, curry leaves and green chilly
Once shallots are done add the other veggies except the spinach
Roast for aminute then add 2 – 2.5 cups of water ( the quantity of water will depend on whether you want to make a soup or a porridge). Add salt. Once the veggies are cooked add the spinach and jowar flakes cover and cook.
Add pepper powder
Switch off the flame and add the lemon juice.
