Jowar Flakes Soup/Porridge
1 cup jowar/bajra/ragi flakes ( I used jowar flakes ordered from Shopforchange) |
½ cup finely chopped carrot |
½ cup peas |
½ cup chopped spinach |
½ cup chopped shallot (sambhar onion) |
1 inch ginger finely chopped |
2-3 green chilly |
Few sprigs of curry leaves |
Pepper powder |
Salt |
Cold press coconut oil |
Mustard seeds |
In a pan add a tsp of coconut oil. Mustard seeds |
Then add the shallots , ginger, curry leaves and green chilly |
Once shallots are done add the other veggies except the spinach |
Roast for aminute then add 2 – 2.5 cups of water ( the quantity of water will depend on whether you want to make a soup or a porridge). Add salt. Once the veggies are cooked add the spinach and jowar flakes cover and cook. |
Add pepper powder |
Switch off the flame and add the lemon juice. |
